FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT AT HANK & HAZEL'S
Get out of the house with your quarantine pod and watch the inspiring family film, "The Biggest Little Farm" at Hank & Hazel's Really Good Sausages in Downtown Vacaville. Vacaville is hurting. We've been through a lot. Let's do something that fills us up with inspiration and good family fun all the while raising money for a Vacaville farmer in need.
The Biggest Little Farm is a gorgeous documentary on par with the raw beauty of Planet Earth or any other nature documentary. Where it separates itself is the personal story and just how invested the viewer becomes in their success.
The Ag & Art Film Festival is hosting screenings to raise money to help the farmers in Vacaville affected by the LNU Lightening Complex Fire. Each "Family Movie Night" screening will raise money for a different Vacaville farm in need. The money raised from this screening is being donated to "Samuels Ranch" in Vacaville. (Scroll down for more info about this farm.) Special thank you to Eatwell Farm in Dixon for sponsoring our screenings and to Hank & Hazels for donating the picnic area for our screening!
Samuels Ranch: is an eight generation farm on top of Mount Vaca that lost all three homes, their barns, and 75 of their animals. The humans barely got out alive on that harrowing night. Right now they are tending to their sheep that are spread out over three farms and some require daily care to tend to their burns. The money we raise will help them purchase the medicine and other supplies they need to heal the surviving sheep's burns.
Pre-Fire Description: "We are a multi-generational family ranch in Napa and Solano Counties. We're old hands at sustainable ranching, but new to agritourism. Offering hiking, bird watching, photography, and sheep snuggles by appointment"
